It’s Friday….

But not just any Friday! It’s floral Friday here on the blog! I know I still haven’t put up the final inspiration board for how we merged vintage and modern with industrial for Kristen’s wedding. But, here, I wanted to share with you the flowers we chose, and some other decor elements. When I was home a few weeks ago for a friend’s wedding, Kristen and I stopped by her florist (Anthology Design Studio in Schenectady, NY – they’re the best. Use them!) to go over ideas. We had so much fun. I brought Ryan with us, too, and he loved it there. I think he more liked looking out the window at all the cars going by. But, all three of us had a blast. Kristen has decided that because the venue (remember, Charles Lucas Confectionery!) has so much character and intrigue, the flowers should be mostly whites and creams, with touches of yellow. Anemones (the black centers of the flower make them feel really modern to me), hydrangeas, big garden roses, geranium leaves, ferns, ranunculus, and billy balls (aka craspedia)! We have some other fun touches that Evan and Kara at Anthology are going to work on for us, which I’ll discuss in a minute. First, here are the inspiration pictures for the flowers.

What do you think? What are you/did you all do for your wedding flowers? Soon, I’ll have to post pictures from my wedding – it just seems like it was so long ago now!

Stay tuned for the awesome and unique inspiration and ideas we have for ceremony decor. Believe me, you won’t want to miss it!

Happy Friday 🙂
